Optical center will bring patient-centric care and eyewear to Altoona community
GREEN BAY, Wis. – Shopko Optical, a leader in providing trusted eye care to communities for over 40 years, is looking forward to being a part of Altoona’s community this summer. The new location at 2855 Woodman Drive is expected to open in July 2022 and will be the fourth Shopko Optical center in the Eau Claire area. Patients can anticipate complete eye care services, including eye exams, contact lens fitting, and detection and management of eye disease.
“We are so excited to be a part of the Altoona community,” said Russ Steinhorst, Shopko Optical CEO. “The new center will allow us to continue providing the well-renowned, patient-centric eye care that Shopko Optical is known for.”
With the opening of Shopko Optical in Altoona, five to seven new jobs will be created.
In addition, Shopko Optical’s Kids in Focus program will work with Altoona’s local Lions Club to identify deserving children within the area to receive a comprehensive eye exam and pair of glasses at no charge from Shopko Optical. Those looking to participate can contact their local Lions Club.
Shopko Optical accepts most major vision plans, including EyeMed, UHC Vision, DeltaVision, Davis Vision, Superior Vision, Anthem, and many more. Shopko Optical is also an open access provider for VSP.
