Paul’s Pantry, Happily Ever After, and Golf FORE a Vet receive donations

GREEN BAY, Wis. – Shopko Optical, a leader in providing trusted eye care to communities for over 40 years, is thrilled to announce the donation of time, sunglasses and $7500 to area charitable organizations.

Shopko Optical’s merchandising team coordinated a sunglasses sale for corporate office teammates with all proceeds benefiting Green Bay area charitable organizations Paul’s Pantry and Happily Ever After.

Today Shopko Optical team members will volunteer at Paul’s Pantry and present the food pantry a donation of sunglasses and $3000. The team will also volunteer time and present a donation of $4500 to Happily Ever After animal shelter on a future date.

“Being a part of a team and organization that not only places eye care as a top priority, but also cares for the communities they serve is empowering,” said Lois Woldt, director of merchandising. “One of our core values is community, and it’s our privilege to partner with organizations that strengthen the communities we serve.”

In addition, Shopko Optical’s Military and Veterans Community will sponsor a hole and donate 200 pairs of sunglasses to the Golf FORE a Vet 2022 Veterans Golf Scramble.

The golf event, hosted by The Spine Project, raises funds to provide active military, veterans, and their families chiropractic care, nutritional support, exercise guidance, and wellness programs encompassing emotional and cognitive well-being. The event will be held July 25 at Royal St. Patrick’s Golf Links in Wrightstown.

The Shopko Optical Military and Veterans Community is one of many company-recognized and volunteer-led resource groups within Shopko Optical that provide a way for teammates with common interests to meet, support each other, and work together to support business and company culture.
