Kirk will work to develop and execute strategies that support a positive patient experience

GREEN BAY, Wis. – Shopko Optical, a leader in providing trusted eye care services to communities for over 40 years, is pleased to announce the appointment of Kirk Lauterback to the newly created role of Chief Experience Officer.

Lauterback began his Shopko Optical career as an optician in 1993 and has since served in numerous store, regional and corporate leadership roles, most recently as chief operations officer.

“I am thrilled to accept this new role,” said Lauterback. “I look forward to the opportunity to support a positive and consistent patient and customer experience by collaborating cross-functionally to influence product and service offerings, teammate training, new center integration, community outreach and internal systems and processes.”

Lauterback completed his opticianry program and apprenticeship at Northern Virginia Community College. He is American Board of Optician Certified (A.B.O.C.), is a member of the Opticians Association of America (OAA) and a fellow of the National Academy of Opticianry (NAO). In addition, he also volunteers with the Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH), Special Olympics and Kids in Focus through the Lions Club.
