Helping Children in Need Receive Eye Exams and Eyeglasses

Kids in Focus is a program that provides complimentary eye exams and eyeglasses to children in need through the partnership of Shopko Optical and the local Lions Clubs within the communities they serve. Throughout the coming year, approximately 1,500 vouchers will be available to deserving children between the ages of 5 and 17 for a comprehensive eye exam and pair of eyeglasses at no charge at a Shopko Optical in their area. With over 140 Shopko Optical locations around the U.S., these children will be examined for vision and eye issues—an opportunity they might not have otherwise. Ultimately, Kids in Focus aims to create healthier communities by providing the tools that will help shape successful students and athletes. Kids in Focus’s 24-year partnership is a testament to its continued success, and as Shopko Optical continues to grow, more communities and children in need will have the opportunity to take part in the program.
