Professional Background
Why did you choose optometry as your profession?
I have had glasses since fifth grade. My high school guidance counselor thought I would be a good O.D. and had me shadow his twin brother who was a local O.D. I always knew I wanted to be in the medical field and optometry seemed like a good fit.

What do you want your patients to know about your approach to care?
I strive to treat each and every patient as though they are a family member—the best advice I ever received in optometry school from a very wise professor.

Professional Background
Why did you choose optometry as your profession?
I have been significantly nearsighted since first grade and have a profound appreciation for what appropriate refractive correction can due for a person’s quality of life. I became interested in optometry following treatment I received by an optometrist for an eye infection I developed while working on my master’s degree in biology. That visit proved to be the catalyst that lead me to optometry instead of academia. I enjoy the challenge of patient care and education in the field of optometry.

What do you want your patients to know about your approach to care?
I am committed to kind, compassionate, patient-focused eye care. I enjoy working together with patients to help them achieve their best possible vision and receive comprehensive management of their ocular health.
