Why did you choose optometry as your profession?
I really liked my optometrist and always thought eye exams were very interesting. I got my first pair of glasses in second grade. The summer before my senior year of high school, I went to my optometrist for new glasses and contacts. I left that exam knowing that I wanted to be an optometrist.
What do you want your patients to know about your approach to care?
I would like my patients to know that I care about the health of their eyes, just as much as I want to make sure they’re seeing the best they can. I believe patient education is very important. I also want to make sure patients don’t feel rushed during an eye exam.
