Why did you choose optometry as your profession?
I first began thinking about optometry as a profession when I was in junior high. There was an influential person in my life at that time who was an optometrist. Later, I got more exposure to eyecare when I accompanied my father to many trips to the eye doctor to manage eye problems related to diabetes. One doctor in particular let me look through the equipment to show me why my father was having trouble seeing. Now, I enjoy helping people to achieve and maintain their best vision through routine and medical eye care.
What do you want your patients to know about your approach to care?
I strive to establish a relationship of trust where patients feel comfortable sharing their goals or concerns. Once established, I endeavor to serve each patient in a caring, yet straightforward and practical way.
