Gift Card Terms & Conditions

Purchase, acceptance, or use of card constitutes acceptance of these terms: Shopko Gift Cards are issued by ShopKo Gift Card Co., LLC, who is the sole obligor to card owner. Distributed by and redeemable up to its balance only for goods, merchandise or services at any Shopko, Shopko Hometown or Shopko Express store and online at shopko.com. Stores and website operated by Shopko Stores Operating Co., LLC. Not redeemable for cash except as required by law. This card does not expire, and there are no fees associated with its use. Safeguard the card. It will not be replaced or replenished if lost, stolen or used without authorization. Shopko gift cards cannot be returned and cannot be used for payment on Shopko Credit Card.

Additional Terms and Conditions for eGift Cards

  1. Limitations

    The maximum value that can be associated with any one eGift Card is $200 and total purchases of eGift Cards for any one individual may not exceed ten thousand dollars ($10,000) in one calendar day. If you return merchandise originally purchased with an eGift Card, any refund will be issued in the form of a plastic Gift Card issued by Shopko Gift Card Co. which may be used at any of these stores or online. Any merchandise purchased with an eGift Card is subject to the applicable store or online return policies. You may not use an eGift Card to purchase other eGift Cards. Void if resold or transferred for value. By purchasing this eGift Card, you agree that the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to principles of conflict of laws, will govern this Agreement.

  2. View Your Balance

    To view your eGift Card balance, follow the instructions on the page linked from the email message which notified you of your eGift Card, call 1-800-799-4693 or visit a store location.

  3. Returning or canceling your eGift Card

    You may not return or cancel your eGift Card after it is received. Purchasers of an eGift Card who wish to cancel an eGift Card purchase order prior to its delivery to its recipient should contact Customer Support prior to the delivery date selected during the purchase process.

  4. CashStar Policies

    eGift Cards are subject to CashStar's Privacy Policy. CashStar and Shopko may provide eGift Card purchasers and recipients with information about the redemption status of eGift Cards.

  5. Risk of Loss

    Ownership and risk of loss of eGift Cards passes to you as soon as CashStar sends a confirmation receipt to the recipient of the eGift Card. CashStar, ShopKo Gift Card Co. and/or Shopko are not responsible for lost or stolen eGift Cards. If you have any questions, please see the FAQs.

  6. Customer Service

    If you need assistance with any aspect of the purchase, ownership, or use of your eGift Card, please contact Customer Support. Please refer to your order number or email address.

  7. Payment Methods

    eGift Cards may be paid for with a valid VISA, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express card, or with PayPal. Sorry, at this time we cannot accept any other type of payment.

  8. Delivery Information and Requirements for eGift Card Purchasers

    All orders of eGift Cards are subject to a process that compares the purchaser's information provided to Cashstar with information about the purchaser provided by the purchaser's financial institution. If there is a discrepancy, your eGift Card order may be delayed until it can be corrected.

    If the date on which you want an eGift Card delivered has passed and you have not received confirmation that the eGift Card was sent, please contact Customer Support. Please refer to your order number or email address. CashStar, Shopko Gift Card Co. and/or Shopko are not responsible for eGift Cards that are undeliverable or not received due to your failure to enter an accurate email address for the recipient. Please check to make sure the email address of the recipient of the eGift Card is correct and contact Customer Support if you suspect the recipient of the eGift Card did not receive his/her eGift Card. Should an email be returned to CashStar due to inaccurate delivery information for the recipient, CashStar will attempt to contact you for a valid email address.

  9. Reasons for Failed Delivery

    If you have confirmed the recipient's email address but the eGift Card has not been viewed within a reasonable period after the requested delivery date, the following is a list of the most common reasons why delivery may have failed:

    1. Spam filter blocked email or routed it to a bulk/spam folder
    2. Recipient's firewall blocked the email
    3. Email inbox is over size limit
    4. Invalid email address

    If a spam filter is blocking Shopkogiftcards@cashstar.com emails from getting to an inbox, your email options will need to be modified so that Shopkogiftcards@cashstar.com emails are not considered spam.

  10. Personalized Messaging

    If you wish to add a personal message when purchasing an eGift Card, simply type your message in the Message Field on the eGift Card preview.

    Personal messages are limited in length to the space provided on the eGift Card.

    There is no additional charge to include a personalized message.

    CashStar may not read every message but if CasStar finds inappropriate, offensive or otherwise objectionable messages, it reserves the right to cancel or replace it, in its sole discretion. Thanks for your cooperation.

  11. Uploaded Images

    You may upload your own image for display on an eGift Card. There is no additional charge to include your own image.

    Cashstar reserves the right to replace inappropriate, offensive, or otherwise objectionable images.

    Cashstar reserves the right to replace images that infringe upon trademark or copyright law.

    As part of your eGift Card purchase, you represent that you are 18 years old or older and hereby grant to CardFact, Shopko and CashStar and their affiliates and agents a nonexclusive, royalty free, worldwide license to use the uploaded image, including all intellectual property rights associated with the uploaded image, to create an electronic gift card of the uploaded image (the "License"). You also represent and warrant that (1) your grant of the License does not violate the privacy rights, publicity rights, copyrights, trademarks, contract rights or any other rights of any person or entity, (2) if you are uploading a company logo or other copyrighted materials, that you are authorized to grant the License to use the uploaded company logo or copyrighted materials to create an eGift Card, and (3) you have full authority and rights to grant the License and to make the representations and warranties contained herein. CashStar reserves the right to cancel any order for an image that it, in its sole discretion, deems potentially unlawful or inappropriate without notice or explanation. CashStar reserves the right to replace inappropriate, offensive, or otherwise objectionable images.

  12. Limitation of Liability; Disclaimer

    The materials on the website are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including without limitation, warranties of title, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement of intellectual property. CashStar expressly disclaims any duty to update or revise the materials on the websites, although such materials may be modified at any time without notice. Your use of the website is at your sole risk and you assume full responsibility for any costs associated with your use of the website. CashStar shall not be liable for any damages of any kind related to your use of the website.

  13. Disputes

    Mindful of the high cost of litigation, not only in dollars but also in time and energy, you and CashStar agree to the following dispute resolution procedure: In the event of any controversy, claim, action or dispute arising out of or related to any transaction conducted on the website, an eGift Card, or the breach, enforcement, interpretation, or validity of this Agreement or any part of it ("Dispute"), the party asserting the Dispute shall first try in good faith to settle such Dispute by providing written notice to the other party(s) (by first class or registered mail) describing the facts and circumstances (including any relevant documentation) of the Dispute and allowing the receiving party 30 days in which to respond to or settle the Dispute. Notice shall be sent to:

    (1) Shopko at: Shopko Stores Operating Co., LLC, 700 Pilgrim Way, Green Bay WI 54304, Attn: General Counsel; and

    ShopKo Gift Card Co., LLC, Attention: Eric Kohlbeck, 4161 2nd Street South, St. Cloud, MN, 56301; and CashStar, Inc. 25 Pearl Street, Portland, ME 04101

    or

    (2) you at: your last-used billing address and/or the email address in your online profile.

    You and we agree that this dispute resolution procedure is a condition precedent which must be satisfied prior to initiating any litigation or filing any claim against the other party

  14. Choice of Law

    This Agreement shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to any conflict of law provisions. You and we agree that any dispute arising under this Agreement shall be resolved exclusively by the state and/or federal courts of the State of California, County of San Francisco and/or the Northern District of California. The waiver of any provision of the Agreement shall not be considered a waiver of any other provision or any right to require strict observance of each of the terms herein. If any provision of the Agreement is found to be unenforceable or invalid for any reason, that provision shall be severable, and all other provisions shall remain in full force and effect. This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement relating to your use of the website.
