Returns & Exchanges Policy

We want you to be happy with your purchase! If you are not completely satisfied, you can return or exchange by following the guidelines below.

When you have your receipt or online packing slip, Shopko will gladly refund your purchase if the merchandise is in new condition, including all the original packaging with accessories, and it is returned within 90 days of purchase, or 30 days for most electronics items. (Some exceptions apply. Please see the Special merchandise return section below for additional details.) Shipping and handling costs for online returns will not be refunded.

Returning purchases made on shopko.com
We'll refund your order total, minus shipping and handling in a form consistent with your method of payment. If your purchase was made with a credit card, the refund amount will go back to the same card used to make the purchase. If you return an item(s) via mail that was purchased online and was a gift, credit will be given through the original payment method only. Purchases that cannot be verified may not be refunded. Shopko reserves the right to refuse any returns if they do not meet our standards and guidelines. For items over $150, please Contact us before sending the item(s) back and our customer service representatives will provide you with additional return instructions.


You may receive your order in multiple boxes. The packing slip details correspond to that box’s item(s). To make sure your return is credited properly, you must include the packing slip that contains the item(s) you are returning and when mailing back the item(s) you use that packing slip’s return address.

How to Return Online Purchases via Mail

  1. Fill out the item return form on the packing slip sku, item #, product description and quantity
  2. Indicate the Reason Code to tell us why you are returning the item(s)
  3. Ensure the item(s) and all accessories being returned are securely packed in a sturdy box to prevent damage in shipping
  4. Make a copy of both sides of the packing slip and return label for your records
  5. Affix the return label to the outside of the box and include the merchandise return section inside the box you are shipping back
  6. Ship pre-pay and use a trackable delivery service (such as UPS or FedEx or the US Post Office). We do not refund shipping and handling

Items eligible for in store return
Many items are eligible to be returned at a Shopko store location. To see if your item(s) is eligible for an in-store return, refer to your packing slip.

Items not eligible for in store return
Although many online purchases may be returned in a Shopko store, some online items are not returnable in store, as indicated on the product page Shipping & Returns tab, and with a Packing Slip that includes the disclaimer, “Items on this packing slip cannot be returned in Shopko, Shopko Hometown or Shopko Express Stores.” The items listed must be mailed to the return address printed on packing slip for a refund to be completed. The items will not be accepted for in store returns. Refer to how to return online purchases via mail to return the items not eligible for in store returns.

How to Return Online Purchases to Shopko store:
Bring the item(s) and all accessories to the Customer Service desk and present the packing slip to the teammate as your receipt. We do not refund shipping and handling.

In store Purchases

Returning purchases made in Shopko, Shopko Hometown, Shopko Express or Shopko Rx stores
For items purchased in a Shopko, Shopko Hometown, Shopko Express or Shopko Rx store, we will refund your full purchase price in a form consistent with your method of payment. If your purchase was made with a credit card, the card must be present at the time of the refund. If your return was a gift and you return to a Shopko Hometown, Shopko Express or Shopko Rx store, you will be given credit on a Shopko gift card.

When you do not have your receipt for purchases made in Shopko Hometown, Shopko Express or Shopko Rx stores, we will attempt to assist you by finding your credit card, debit card or check purchase information using our Receipt Look-up system. Purchases that cannot be verified may not be refunded. Shopko reserves the right to refuse any returns if they do not meet our standards and guidelines.

Items purchased at a Shopko or Shopko Hometown can only be returned to a Shopko or Shopko Hometown store. Items purchased at a Shopko Express or Shopko Rx can only be returned to a Shopko Express or Shopko Rx Store. Purchases made at Shopko or Shopko Hometown may not be returned to a Shopko Express or Shopko Rx Store.

Special merchandise return guidelines

Certain items may be subject to different requirements as indicated below.

Electronics Returns:
We will accept returns within 30 days of original purchase with a receipt on electronic items, including TVs, video players, digital cameras, camcorders, digital music players, headphones, audio players, sound systems, video game hardware & accessories, GPS units, computers/tablets and e-readers.

Cellular phones and phone cards are non-refundable. Opened/defective video games, music, movies and computer software can be exchanged for the identical item.

Baby Gear, Cribs and Nursery Furniture Returns:
Baby gear, cribs and nursery furniture items purchased on shopko.com that are unopened and unassembled may be returned in store. For items purchased on shopko.com, returns via mail will be accepted only if item is refused at the door, is unopened and unassembled.

Airbed Returns:
Unopened airbeds can be returned for refund or exchange within 14 days of purchase. Opened airbeds accompanied by a receipt may be exchanged for the identical item or exchanged towards another airbed of equal or greater value within 14 days. Defective airbeds can be exchanged for the same model airbed or for credit towards another airbed of equal or greater value.

Live Goods Guarantee:
Perennials, roses, evergreens, trees and shrubs are guaranteed for one year from date of purchase. If you have a question or problem concerning your live goods purchase, please call one of our Lawn & Garden Specialists before removing your plant and returning it to the store. Full refund of purchase will be made for dead plant material during the year of purchase with this receipt/guarantee. If returned the following year, the refund will be given in the form of a store credit.

Non-Returnable Merchandise:

  • Cellular phones and cellular phone cards are non-refundable.
  • Opened/defective video games, music, movies, and computer software can be exchanged for the identical item.
  • Gift Cards and e-Gift Cards are non-refundable.
  • Prescription drugs are non-refundable.
  • Alcoholic beverages are non-refundable.

Returns of promotional items:
Refund value for each item returned will be reduced to reflect value of any free gifts received or discounts applied. Other restrictions may apply.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I am missing a part to an item requiring assembly?
Refer to the manufacturer’s instructions and warranty documents in your package. There will be contact information for the manufacturer to send a request for the missing part. Contact us if you have questions.

What if a piece of my item was damaged in shipping?
Though we do our best to secure product, items can sometimes shift during shipping. Contact us to review the damaged item.

If a furniture piece is damaged, simply contact the manufacturer directly using the phone number included in the item’s box. The manufacturer will assist you to correct the damaged item or Contact us if you have questions. If the item is eligible for in store return you may also bring the item (with all accessories) and packing slip to your local Shopko store for a replacement. Please contact the store before bringing in the item to ensure product availability. Refer to the Online purchases section to verify the items are eligible for in store return. If your item is not eligible for in store return, please follow the instructions on the packing slip before sending back to the Return Address provided.

If I purchased in store, can I return via mail to the online Shopko Returns Center?
No, unfortunately we are unable to accept and process returns for items purchased in store at Shopko, Shopko Hometown, Shopko Express or Shopko Rx stores via mail through the online Shopko Returns Center.

If I purchased online, can I return in store?
Yes, in many cases an item that is purchased on shopko.com is eligible to be returned in a Shopko store. The shopko.com packing slip is required to help us process your return. When you do not have your packing slip for purchases made online, we will attempt to assist you. Purchases that cannot be verified may not be refunded. Shopko reserves the right to refuse any returns if they do not meet our standards and guidelines.

Some items purchased online are not returnable in store, which is noted on your packing slip. Please refer to the online purchases information above regarding items not eligible for in store return for additional information.

Do I need my receipt or packing slip?

For items purchased on shopko.com we will gladly refund your order total, less our costs for shipping and handling. For gift items returned that were purchased online, credit will be given through the original payment method only.

What if the item was on sale or I received a free gift with purchase?
Refund value for each item returned will be reduced to reflect value of any free gifts received or discounts applied. Purchases made at Shopko or Shopko Hometown may not be returned to Shopko Express or Shopko Rx. Other restrictions may apply.

If you received a free gift with purchase, you will need to return the gift, or you will be refunded the amount spent on the original item minus the retail value of the free gift.
