Summer Internship Programs
The Shopko Pharmacy Summer Internship Program is a great way to experience the rewards of working in a retail pharmacy while practicing the skills learned in a classroom setting. Internships are tailored to the individual needs of each student and include learning in several areas such as: pharmacy management, consultation, drug interactions, pharmacy ethics, pediatrics, pregnancy, and disease state management. In addition, interns complete a final project which may include coordinating a diabetic or health fair, researching a new drug or conducting a smoking cessation clinic.

Scholarships
Currently Shopko supports the educational initiatives of pharmacy students through scholarship awards at many schools of pharmacy across the United States.

Student Loans
With the rising cost of Pharmacy School tuition, Shopko Stores has implemented a Pharmacy Student Loan Program. Students that have been accepted into pharmacy school can be recommended by a Shopko Pharmacy Manager for the loan program. Participation in the Shopko Pharmacy Internship Program is the ideal predecessor for being granted a student loan.
