ShopKo, headquartered in Green Bay, Wisconsin, has two divisions: ShopKo and ShopKo Express Rx. We employ more than 16-thousand teammates in 13 states, in more than 135 stores, generating annual sales exceeding $ 2.2 billion.

ShopKo was founded by a pharmacist, James Ruben. When Ruben opened ShopKo's first store in Green Bay in 1962, he envisioned a company focused on three main themes: quality, convenience and value. He saw the opportunity to combine health care services with a large discount store, and ShopKo became one of the first mass retailers to feature pharmacies and eye care centers in its stores.

In 1991, ShopKo Stores Inc. became a publicly-held, independent company with stock traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "SKO". In December of 2005, ShopKo Stores, Inc. was purchased by an affiliate of Sun Capital Partners, Inc. and no longer is a publicly-owned corporation.

ShopKo division
The ShopKo division has 132 stores in 13 states. Located in mid-sized to larger cities, ShopKo stores are multi-department retail stores committed to offering quality merchandise, services and value to meet customers' needs for home, family basics, casual apparel and seasonal products, with a special emphasis on retail health.

ShopKo stores deliver a great customer experience.
