Creative Designer - Advertising
The primary responsibilities are layout and design of circulars, including type design, photography set and model selection, on set styling and photo art direction to achieve a high quality, impactful finished product; work closely with ad coordinators, buyers, photographers and stylists to discuss art direction and fulfill the objectives of the marketing plans; review marketing information for feature merchandise in an effort to create impactful pages.
Qualified candidates will possess a minimum of a 2 year degree in advertising or marketing and 2+ years of previous design/advertising experience, The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of Mac Graphics programs to include In-Design, PhotoShop and Illustrator and must be familiar with the 4 color printing process. Strong conceptual skills with excellent graphic design, layout and typography skills a must with will be evidenced through job experience and an on-line portfolio. A minimum of 2 years previous retail advertising experience desired.

Special Projects Designer
The primary responsibilities of the Special Projects Designer will be to lead the concept and design of all special project requests including but not limited to seasonal circular design concepts, new direct mail formats, gift cards, community and charitable design support, point of sale monitors and special events/promotions. The person in this position will effectively collaborate directly with vendors, merchants and community partners to establish strategic direction and develop design concepts. This position is also responsible for managing the creative process through all stages of production and for developing impactful advertising that is aspirational and on brand.
Qualified candidates for this position will possess a B.A. or B.F.A. degree with a major in advertising, graphic design, communications, computer graphics or art. Candidates must have two years supervisory experience either as an Art Director or as a senior level Designer and five years experience as a Designer in a retail environment. Advanced electronic publishing knowledge/training on Macintosh in Indesign, Adobe Illustrator and Photo Shop and previous experience with digital photography and printing processes. Web Designer
The primary responsibilities of the Web Designer are to create, communicate, and implement Shopko's digital marketing programs while satisfying department and Company initiatives. Maintain a strategic link to Shopko's digital marketing business strategy to support the use of creative and merchandising best practices. Establish and develop digital personas and use these personas to assure that the digital direction satisfies the needs of the Shopko customer.
The requirements for this position include a Bachelors Degree in a related field to include Interactive Design, Graphic Design, Advertising and/or User Interface Design. A minimum of 3 years experience with a design firm, advertising agency, technology company or a corporate environment focused on developing tactical solutions and larger design systems is a must. Writer/Instructional Designer II
Our Writer / Instructional Designer II will design and develop curriculum and total course materials for participant and facilitators including: basic course materials, facilitator instructions, activities and exercises, evaluations, job aids and all other required materials in accordance with departmental standards.
They will observe and analyze various business processes and provides written procedures, reports and business process documents in accordance with departmental standards. In addition, they will lead and facilitate large scale HR and business projects.
REQUIRED:

Application Architects will be involved in all aspects of the project systems development life cycle, including analysis, design, specification writing, programming, testing, and implementation in a relational database environment. They will also work closely with project teammates, other IS teammates, and business clients.
Qualified candidates will posses an Associate's degree in Computer Science / MIS or a related field. To be successful in this role, candidates will also need to demonstrate flexibility with changing priorities, be a self-starter, and be prepared to work in a team environment. Database Architect
The Database Architect is responsible for the design and delivery of database or storage technology to solve business needs. Maintain effective internal control of database or storage involving implementation, tuning, throughput, optimization, security, and integrity of environment. Adhere to all aspects of the Shopko Information Services Development (SISDM) for projects and problem/change management. Qualified candidates will possess Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school in Data Processing. They will have a Database emphasis with experience in the following areas; Applied knowledge of logical and physical database design and SQL tuning; Knowledge of database security; Knowledge of application and database performance and tuning relating to Oracle 9.x or later; Applied experience in Oracle 9.x or later installation and administration; Applied knowledge in database backup and recovery procedures and software tools with a preference for the following tools: TSM, TDP, Rman and Storage Agent; Applied knowledge of RDBMS technology in at least one of the following databases: Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL or DB2.

Manager of Enterprise Infrastructure Services
The Manager of Enterprise Infrastructure Services is responsible for the design and delivery and support of Shopko's Middleware and Enterprise Infrastructure tiers used to meet and solve business needs. Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree Computer Science, Management, Business Administration or related field desired. 3 years previous management experience, preferably in an IS/IT environment and 5 years experience in a technical role supporting storage, servers, networks or enterprise infrastructure technology with technical knowledge of at least two of the following - Oracle Application Server, Oracle EAI, Linux, Unix, Crystal Reports, PVCS.

Senior Storage Architect

Systems Operations Services Specialist
The Systems Operations Services Specialist provides first-level technical and operations support to store, distribution center, and general office teammates from ShopKo locations nationwide. They log all calls into the corporate service desk system ensuring appropriate data is captured identifying the problem and the caller. Troubleshoot the problem using established knowledge database and personal skills/experience and document actions taken in the service desk system. Escalate those problems that cannot be resolved at the first level to the appropriate second level support team (internal or external).

Director of Space Planning
The Director of Space Planning will supervise the Space Planning staff and coordinate the space management process from concept through final phase to include planning, analysis, and execution of all merchandise assortment plan presentation; oversee the productivity and accuracy of all planograms and resulting financial information; execute merchandise presentations in accordance with established schedules, area guidelines and standards and operational requirements; provide supervision and development support for Space Planning Managers.
Requirements for this position include a Bachelors Degree in Interior Design, Business Administration, or related field desired along with five to seven years experience in Space Planning, Merchandise/Inventory Management and/or equivalent experience. Sr. Buyer I – Men’s Basic Furnishings
The primary responsibilities of this position will include driving the sales and margin performance to plan, maintaining product integrity from a product development perspective, merchandise selection, vendor relations, negotiations, and advertising. This position will be responsible for a moderate to high dollar volume with multi-store buying experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong product development skills and strong financial acumen skills.
