The mission of the Shopko Foundation is to encourage employees to become successful, contributing citizens in their communities. The feeling a Shopko employee derives in serving the needs of his or her community is representative of the wider Shopko dedication to community involvement. We contribute over $4 million per year to worthy causes.

Members of the Shopko team are encourages to become actively involved in charitable causes, and many enthusiastically respond by generously donating their time, talents and dollars to any of a wide range or organizations.

The Shopko Foundation specifically supports students at risk, the underprivileged and disadvantaged, people with learning disabilities and other special needs, literacy programs, and educational achievement. We promote healthy lifestyles by sponsoring health fairs, local walks and runs, wellness testing and community programs focused on hunger and on nutrition.
